What is the time difference between Qatar and Detroit (EST)?
My son is being deployed to Qatar tomorrow. What it the time difference, we live in Detroit, and his wife is in Colorado Springs. His shifts will be from 10 to 10. So at 10 am there what time will it be here in the US.

17 hours difference with Detroit(EST). And 15 hours difference with Colorado Springs(MDT). If his shifts is from 10 am to 10pm, it will be from 1 am to 1pm in Colorado Springs. The best time to call him from 6am to 1pm.I hope it helping you.

Well, if it's 8 AM in MI (or 7 AM in standard time), it's 3 PM in Qatar. 10:42 PM here in Bakersfield; 1:42 AM in Detroit; 5:42 AM in Doha Its a seventeen-hour thyme difference, Bill.

These guys are full of crap! Qatar is 7 hours ahead of you right now... (I'm currently in Oman on the same time zone as the UAE and one hour ahead of Qatar. Houston -my home (central time) is 9 hours behind Oman). One other thing to remember in caclulating time differences with middle eastern countries is that they do not follow daylight savings time, so when you "fall back" the clocks in the US this November - we won't and you'll add another hour to your time difference... If you want to call your son at 10 AM Doha time, you'll have to get up at 3AM Detroit time.... He goes to bed at 3PM Detroit time. His wife is on Mountain time... She'll be 9 hours behind him... She'll have to call him at 1 AM to get him at 10AM and she can call him at 1PM (mountain time) to wish him good night.
