interracial mariage in morocco between a moroccan girl and a srilankan ?
hi, my bfrnd (srilankan living in qatar) and I (moroccan) are planning to get married, he already came to talk to the parents etc.. my problem is that I heard of some huge obstacles that might stop us from getting our mariage registred in Morocco : i read on a moroccan forum that it takes atleast 6 months to study the application, which also requires fees around 10 000 moroccan dirhams jst to file for that regitration?! the worst part it seems there s no srilanka ambassy/counsulate in morocco (and vice versa) i'm totally lost here I don't even know where to get some info. well im european and got married to a moroccan man and everything went just fine...except for moroccan bureaucracy and going from one office to the other... hope you guys will be just fine inshallah! wish you good luck! EDIT: you're welcome :)

ASA Sister... Maburak on your upcoming marriage. Don't worry yourself yet by what you read on a forum. The people on the forum may have other obstacles that may not apply to you - i.e. already married tom someone in their country, wanting to marry non-Muslim or marrying a Saudi (I read an article that special conditions were placed on marriages to Saudis because these men were coming to Morocco for "temporary marriages" and were already married- additional protection to protect the Moroccan woman).
