Lifestyle in Doha Qatar?
Hi I am currently considering moving to Doha, Qatar for work where iw ill be based for at least 2 years. I am a little apprehensive on wether i am making the right move. My concerns are the lifestyle and cultural differences Qatar and wether it is a strict Muslim society where i will be limited on what i can do. My questions are as follows; 1, Is Qatar a strict Muslim country where i am restricted in terms of my Lifestyle? 2, Is there a large western ex-pat community? 3, Is it safe as a westerner? 4, Will my wife and children be restricted or in any danger? 5, Could you please give me a short over view of what to expect whilst living in Qatar, i.e., bars restaurants? Ben your funny! You guys will be fine...Qatar is very safe very nice and westernized. You have not went to visit with your family yet? You should cause youll probally laugh that you asked this question. Qatar is growning fast and very modern small country though which is really nice not alot to do but its a great place to raise your kids etc. Most everyone speaks english you wont have that problem. Im american and have been a few times to Doha...no worries just try and meet americans living their you should find alot. Best of luck!
