i think ur question is not complete..all theese countries u have mentiones is arab countries ..if u focus all of them have got some limittation,u cant enjoy full freedom... i personally think dubai and qatar are good for living and work rest depends on what you are looking for

The only Gulf state I have been to is Bahrain. The place is quite small. I don't know if there is a lot to do there. I suppose the UAE, and well I think of Dubai mostly, could be quite hectic. From my observations, Abu Dhabi looks like a more quiet place to live. It all depends what you want yourself. You tube can let you see what it is like (a little). Seems like there is a lot of major traffic headaches in Dubai. I suppose with all the construction workers and expats, and no real public transport system to speak of, things could be challenging. Note, you're never going to be a certified UAE citizen. Saudi citizenship, is available after 10 years residency and providing you are a Muslim. I assume your western like me. Maybe if you are GCC, things will be easier for you. But no citizenship, no deal (for long term residency in my opinion). I think the cost of living in Dubai is quite expensive. The rent in most places, unless subsidised by an employer, is quite detrimental to any plans to save money. I was talking to a guy on You Tube and well he pays 50000 dollars in rent per annum. 50000! Granted, the guy was a big shot, but 50000! Its cheaper to rent in a flash pad in London, or even Dublin 4, and thats saying something. Children wise, any children born of foreign fathers in the UAE, can't get UAE citizenship. So if you want to stay there and raise children, fffffffff, it would be kind of hard for them, since they will be citizenship-less. Also, while Gulf states do have a lot going for them, tax-free and higher salaries, I think one would miss the certified satisfaction of being able to walk down the street holding the hand of one's girlfriend and being able to give her a peck on the cheek.

Simple: where ever you get the best job offer and the most benefits. As a none Westener is doesn't make any difference and as a Westener, you may take into consideration that Kuwait is a dry country. Just go where the money is. It won't be forever anyway LOL. All the best,
