Qatar Won 2022 FIfa World Cup, Now What?
Ok so I live in Qatar for a Job Transfer. Qatar if anyone knows is Crowded place and Well.... Kind of Small. Since they won the host for fifa 2022. will they sell more American Things or Make more malls and roads. I know theres still 12 years (almost 11) will they start building more things now or few more years?

As part of their bid for the World Cup Quatar promised to build many new stadiums and hotels. Money's not an issue. They're loaded. But I'm wondering how a country so small can host a world cup. If the figures are similar to South Africa, there could be more football fans in Quatar that Quataris during the tournament.

It seems a rather odd choice. I mean, it will be 120 in the shade, there in the summer....... and no matter how "cool" the stadiums are.......it's still gonna be drop dead sweltering OUTSIDE, for all these fans, certainly not use to that sort of heat. Not to mention travel to QATAR???????? Yeah, I wanna be the TSA agent for THOSE flights! NO THANKS!

I have been to Qatar and enjoyed it. I am happy that Qatar, a small country will host it because it will be easier for me to commute from one city to another. Russia is the largest country in the World. The only way to really travel within in a short amount of time is by airplane and we all know Russia doesn't exactly have the best aviation history.

I am from Qatar and me and family are SO happy that it's going to be in our very own country! It's very exciting for us and I can't help but get a sensation of pride. I think it's a good choice, because they should really give the middle east a chance, and people should stop judging us, especially Americans. I don't really care what others think though, because you know what? It's going to be in Qatar and there's nothing you can do about. Complain all you want, but Fifa made a great choice! I think a lot of people are going to have issues with the weather! But other than that, we're a pretty wealthy and sustained country. I also wanted to mention that my dad is going to be responsible for some of the statiums that going to be build, he's one of the top civil engineers in the country! Can't wait!
