how much would it cost me to have my baby in the US without insurance. Am in Qatar now and 6 months pregnant.?
I live in Qatar now, but I would like to have my baby in Baltimore,Maryland in the US. Do you have a rough sketch of how much it might cost without insurance. I plan on leaving here in my 7-71/2 months, so I really wont be doing much of the hospital routine check ups (I hope). This is my first child and I really would like it to be special. Please help me if you can..... Thanks so much for your answers everybody, really appreciate. What you are saying is that the actual cost of Labour could be up to 10-18000USD. Well, thanks so much I would still consider it.

It will cost you around 10 thousand dollars (just the hospital and the Gynecologist fees). But be careful cause the payment you make to get out of the hospital isn't all. They will send you later bills for the whole amount. Since you live outside make sure to be clear on this with them before you go back home.

between $10,000 and $15,000 just depends on how things go what type of birth you decide to do.... good luck

My hospital bill before insurance (including the dr bill and the baby's bill) for my last baby was almost $8000. I had a natural delivery without epidural or pain medication. (if you have those things it will be more) I stayed in the hospital for the routine 2 days. At 7 and 1/2 months you will still have a few Dr's visits before delivery that you will have to pay for. They are about 75-100 dollars a visit. If you haven't had your glucose check done yet that will also be extra. They also do a Strep B swab of your vagina close to the end and that will be extra too. You could apply for Medicaid once you got to the states. It will cover your pregnancy related medical expenses if you qualify. It will take a few weeks to get accepted but they will go back and pay for everything 3 months prior to the day you applied. Good Luck!!

as mentioned, you could just apply for medicaid. but, if you dont want to go that rout, or dont think youll qualify, then it will be between 10-18000, it depends on what drugs you use, how well labor goes, if you need a c-section, how long your there, circumcision ect..... it was around 13000 for me to have my son, that was for an emergency ceserean and a 3 day stay.

Well it is different really for every hospital and everyone because hospitals don't all charge the same obviously and if you, yourself, needs certain things or have different situations, like natural, medicated, c-section, any problems, etc. It can cost anywhere from 6 thousand to 30 thousand depending on where you end up and what procedures need to be done. But also depending on where you if you do not have any insurance they sign you up for public assistance insurance also known as Medicaid and they usually pay for it or most of the cost. I got to see what my bill was when I was induced and had medication, was in the hospital for 2 days but the baby had passed and I had to give birth to him because he was too big. Well before my insurance it would of been 13, almost 14 thousand dollars. Good luck! Most hospital's though, well all the ones where I live, will apply you for Medicaid while you are there if you don't have insurance and know you need help with the cost.

Are you an American? You'll have to go thru the process of becoming a citizen and what not if you aren't. That could take awhile. Why are you wanting to have your baby in the USA? But to pay for a birth in the USA, it really depends on how complicated the delivary is, where you deliver and if you have insurance or not. Since obviously you wouldn't have insurance, I would imagine a normal uncomplicated birth is in the ball park of $10,000-$15,000 US dollars. But good luck when you have your baby.

if you come to Canada you will get assistance to help pay for the birth and may be able to have it for free...
