My girlfriend got denied a visa from Qatar to visit my family in America and we are unsure why...?
I lived in Qatar years ago and began seeing a woman there. Normally we take international trips and have met with her family in the Philippines in the past. I am moving back to Qatar in July but wanted her to fly here to meet my mom before then. This morning she went to the embassy with all the paperwork and after the man asked her 4 questions she was told she was denied and in an email from the embassy they informed me she failed to prove ties to the community. She has worked the same job there for years and makes excellent money, she's lived in the same house for years...do we take pictures of her house? Interview her friends and colleagues? Very confused....

well, it's always more difficult to apply for a first time tourist visa outside of your original country. I imagine the interviewing officer didn't know what to make of her actual intentions. She's Filipina, working in the Gulf, seeing you, establishing potential ties to the US as well. I doubt there's much point in reapplying for a tourist visa, although she can if she wishes.

She is unmarried to a Qatari. She has no children she is leaving there. She does not own a business in Qatar. The embassy feels her ties aren't sufficient. These count against her. The embassy thinks she will overstay. Generally the older the person, the better the chance they have of getting a visa. I would suggest you propose marriage and then she can get a fiancÃ© visa. However these too can be denied. Also tourist visas are often denied for no reason.

Just fly into Mexico and walk or drive across the border. If you don't know how just ask any Mexican citizen. Our government has very little will to enforce the southern border and you sound like you are not here on gang, criminal business so come on down. Its only a misdemeanor if you are caught, that the same as a traffick ticket. Just do like the Mexicans bypass the government. I was serious about what I wrote.

Well, I think your girlfriend could not show enough proof that she and you are in a relationship. When did you see her for the last time? the most important reason why she was rejected is that she is in Qatar and you are in the US. So the consulate officer thought that your relationship is already over, and you are just simply helping her to go to the US. at this point you and she has to provide proof that you are still in a relationship. You said that you saw her for the last time in the Philippines. So you have to submit copies of your and her airplane tickets. The dates must match. If you took photos there, it is also good to submit photos. Do you have emails exchanged planning on a philippine vacation? Submit those emails too. Then, after all that philippine trip, did you call her or did she call you? if you and she did, she can go to her telephone company and ask for a paper that can show there was a phone to her house/cell phone number from your house/cellphone number or vice versa. Submit that telephone company's information. After the philippine trip, did you ever email her or did she email you? if yes, submit those emails. Does she have friendns that know about your going on relationship? She has to provide those friend's contact addresses. Do you have friends that know about your going on relationship? if yes, then she has to provide their contact addresses. and the most important, she shoould not be nervous in front of the consulate officer, she must be confident and show him that everything is right and she is only going to the US to meet you and your family. Ask your parents to call or email the US embassy and tell them that they want to meet your girlfriend, and your parents cal also ask why she was rejected. I know the US consulate officers are very bad all over the world, and they rely their work on their mood. if they are feeling good, more people can get visas, and if they are not, most people are rejected visas. Try again and tell her to appear there with more papers and more confidence.

I guess the reason she gave for going to the US was to visit her bf and to meet the future in-laws. If that is so, even if she shows pictures of the whole neighborhood, she will not be given a visa. The only way she can come to the US is through a K-1 or K-3 visa. Changing stories for the next application will not help as they log in answers from the previous interview.
