A bunch of questions about living in Qatar. Visa's etc?
I'm not actually sure how to start this question off, so I figure I'd give a bit of insight to my situation at the moment. I'm eighteen years old and curently living in Dubai on my father's visa. I'd lived in Qatar before coming here with my family about four and a half years ago. I'd grown very attached to Qatar and the friends I'd made there. Now that I am eighteen I'd like to go back. I have very little work experience, although at the moment I am property consultant here in Dubai, but they're having problems issuing me a labour card as I've been hired by a brand new and very small company. Also, I hold a South African passport which has prevented me from getting mere visit visas to go back and visit my friends (visas are the bane of my life). Could this get in the way of obtaining a residence visa? How difficult would it be for me to get a job there? What kind of job could I expect with the little experience I have? I've considered getting a student visa, but University is a little out of my budget, and I've been to many of the Qatar Universities websites, but none of them have the course that I'm particularly interested in. *any* advice would greatly appreciated. I'm willing to do almost anything (legal) to get out of Dubai and into Qatar. Thanks in advance.
