How old do Muslim children have to be to start the animal sacrifice during the festival of Eid-al-Adha

How old do Muslim children have to be to start the animal sacrifice during the festival of Eid-al-Adha?
I'm doing some research for a project, when answer it would great if you state a source for the information. When i live in Qatar a few yes ago a friend of mine told me they could do the sacrifice since the age of 7 ... is this true? and from my research you would need to do the sacrifice on your own.

Basically when they attain adulthood. In the days of their prophet, this would have translated to 10-13 years old. In today's day and age, their scholars agree that once the boy is an adult. An adult in today's society depends on the country but is 18 in the US. However, just like with all religions, i find it it primitive.

If you you mean the pilgrimage of Hajj, the girl has to be at least 9 and the boy 15 lunar years OR if they both hit puberty for the pilgrimage to count. If they do it as a child, it will not count. There is no "animal sacrifice" that is part of the hajj ritual which includes many other things.

As young as possible. They need to be desensitized to killing at an early age. Even if they did have a minimum age, do you really think they'd be organized enough to enforce it? TV in predominantly Muslim countries make little effort to censor violence - but evil things like kissing are cut out completely.

Well. All Islamic religious rites and ritual becomes obligatory for one upon reaching puberty. So is the Haj and the Qorban if one have the means. Yes, It is highly adviced that the person that does the Qorbani, should do it himself as per a hadith, in order to feel the pinch and the wisdom behind it by ourself But thru another hadith, it is permitted, for to hire someone on our behalf, to do it for us, for reasons doing the slaughtering without proper knowledge of the do's and don'ts in slaughtering, might cause severe pain to the creature thats been slaughtered. there is nothing as HAVE to .its NOT a compulsory thing . but a lot better if u do ur sacrifice by urself . my oldest bro did it when he was 15 . my other bro did sacrifice on this time he is just 13 . i am looking forward to sacrifice a sheep the next time by myself . don't know if i would dare do it . u know its just up to u .
